Gavino Paddeu

 

is head of Network Distributed Applications area of CRS4. He got a Laurea degree in Physics from the University of Cagliari (Italy). He spent about one year at the Facultés Universitaires de Namur (Belgium) as a postdoctoral fellow in the area of computer graphics. There he developed software for 3D molecular visualization. He also taught graduate and post-graduate courses in computer graphics and Internet applications. His current research interests include distributed applications, programming paradigms for multi-device user interfaces, mobile and intelligent agents. Application domains include ecommerce, touristic applications, and cultural heritage management. He has published papers in books, international journals and conference proceedings.
