Francesca Rizzo

 

Ph.D, holds a Tenure Track position at the University of Bologna, Department of  Architecture where she teaches Industrial Design Studio. Assistant professor at Politecnico di Milano from 2009 to 2013 she is expert in service design and participatory design. Member of DESIS (Design for Social Innovation Network) she has been visiting professor at Aalto University, School of DESIGN and Shangai Tongij University Center for Design and Innovation. She coordinated for POLIMI European PRojects Life 2.0 (Grant agreement number: 270965) and SMART CAMPUS (agreement no: 297251) and participated in different European projects as team member. Among them: My Neighborhood (Grant agreement no: 325227); PERIPHERIA (Grant agreement 271015); PERL (Project number: 155927-LLP-1- 2009-1-NO-ERASMUS-ENWA) SPREAD (Sustainable Lifestyles 2050 (Seventh Framework Programme, Coordination and  Support Action project n°263962). She is currently responsible for the dissemination team of SIMPACT European Project: Boosting the Impact of Social Innovation in Europe through Economic Underpinninng' (Grant agreement no: 613411). She is author of many articles in Journals and International conferences such as: Codesign, Communication of the ACM, Design Issues, Design Research Society Conference, Participatory Design Conference, IASDR conference. In 2011 she has been Chair of DPPI (Designing Pleasurable Products and Interfaces Conference, (ACM proceedings).
